Genre - Social
Created-26th decemebr,2004
Read many blogs, reviewed few of them, liked many, but man this was great in every sense of the word.this blog should be termed as a movement.Kudos to the people who started it and maintained it so very well.Reading it was like i have immersed myself into a huge information bank about everything and anything i want to know about tsunami, the news, the relief operations.the organizations working for the cause.
The large group of authors ensures that we have opinions and views of people from all parts of the world. Also look at the features, the amount of effort that has been done to ensure that this blog doesnt remain a mere blog but a movement of a large scale. So you have a feature which translates the text in 8 different languages of your choice. Then there are special email addresses to contact the people,if anyone wants to particiapte in the blog as a volunteer or translator etc.
Not to forget the very useful list of resource links.
3 posts i definately will recomnd the readers would be :-
1. PM' relief fund
2. A first person account of his volunteer efforts in sri lanka
3. Solomon Islands : six dead from tsunami

So a great blog and i think we should have more of such blogs for a social awakening to happen.Do chek it out.

Next on the voyager series coming all the way from Pakistan is the official blog of zeest's band.
Till then keep commenting and keep blogging.

happy Blogginggg!!!

Some Information Related to Guest Blogging

Many of us don't know about guest blogging. So, what is guest blogging?   When one blogger posts his content to another blogger's site it is termed as guest post/guest blog. This method can be used to increase traffic on our sites. Mainly new bloggers use this technique of blogging so that their blogs get promoted and they can build-up the relationship with the audience and this technique also helps them increase the traffic on their site.  If you have started a new blog, your blog might have trouble in reaching up with a wide range of audience, even if you have strong content to post. So, you can publish that content to someone else’s blog whose blog is already reputed so that people can read out your content and if they like your post than bingo!!! You grab audience attention and this lead to increase the number of audiences on your site. But make sure that the concept is simple, and you are writing the content according to the blogger’s requirement. The...

Expectations from Union Budget 2025-26: Building a future for growth, sustainability, and inclusion

The Union Budget 2025-26 is poised to address India's economic challenges amidst slow growth, rising welfare demands, and global uncertainties. Key expectations include conditional capex loans for states, tax reforms, focus on household income, and a commitment to fiscal consolidation. With reforms and sustainable investments, this budget could set the foundation for long-term progress. What makes the Union Budget 2025-26 so crucial? India stands at a pivotal moment as it gears up for the Union Budget 2025-26. After years of pandemic-driven disruptions and global economic instability, the nation faces critical challenges. Economic growth has slowed, the welfare burden has escalated, and global geopolitical uncertainties add another layer of complexity. This year’s budget is particularly significant, as it marks the first full-year budget of the newly elected government. People expect bold decisions to not only stabilise the economy but also lay the groundwork for long-term growth. ...

Cutting people off isn’t strength—It is a trauma response

Your ability to cut people off and self-isolate is not a skill you should be proud of—It is a trauma response Summary Cutting people off and self-isolating may feel like a protective shield, but it is often rooted in unresolved or unhealed trauma and an inability to depend on others. While these behaviors seem like self-preservation, they end up reinforcing isolation and blocking meaningful connections. Confronting these patterns, seeking therapy, and nurturing supportive relationships can help break this unhealthy cycle. Plus, a simple act like planting a jasmine plant can symbolise the start of your journey towards emotional healing. Why do we cut people off and isolate? If you’re someone who prides themselves on “cutting people off” or keeping a tight circle, you might believe it’s a skill—a way to protect yourself from betrayal, hurt, or unnecessary drama. I get it. I’ve been there, too. But here’s the thing: this ability to isolate yourself is not as empowering as it may seem. In...
