INDEPENDENCE etc.

Ok,,,first things first...Happy Independence Day...as always i got patriotic n a thought process was triggered(hehe,my thought processes are like that toy gun wid da arbitary bullet tied wid a string to da nozzle,,,da same things keep gettin triggered again n again, pardon da strange metaphorism!)
So i got up,attended my morning chem tuition...during dat whole tym i didn wish anybody...i know its nthin to be proud of...its just didn't come as naturally as a birthday wish for sum1 comes...bt mistakes teachin sumthin are worth making...pata nai kyun aisa lag raha tha ki 50% of da ppl sittin dere at da tuition were not even consciously aware ki aaj school ki chutti kyun hai...i always feel dat hearing da same thing over n over again reduces its impact, baat kiti bhi sahi kyun na ho.So many times we've heard da same reasonings n beckonings n all,we get accoustomed to not react to it...bt one thought stirrs me like nythin..."Someone died for me,its a TREMENDOUS thing, how can i tell my soul to ignore it!!!"
Often i end up thinkin how those freedom fighters would actually cry seeing today's scenario.I come across pretty frequently all dis bein a non med student...kitna simple hai na...engineering mba karo life banao, oversees jao aish karo...me myself sumtimes get lured by dese prospects...par pata nai,its sumthing da inner self doesn't give permission of.
My physics teacher told da class a story,he said"dere was a lavish tree, wid lots of birds living on it...den one day the tree caught fire,n da birds kept sittin n burnin wid it.Sum1 asked dem 'u have wings, why don't u fly away n save urself?' n da birds replied 'we were wid it durin its gud times,we had its fruits,we spoiled its leaves wid our dirt,he never said nythin...how can we leave it now just like dat???' "
Seriously speaking the "survival of the fittest" theory confuses me...the Bible says"the meek shall inherit the earth" Animals follow this struggle n win rule...we are supposed to be a bit above dem...its our ethics which makes us humans...a lot of ppl say "we have every right to make our lives better, why shuldn't we?we studied so hard, now its our right to enjoy" I don't understand deir argument...da birds couldn't even do nythin fr da tree...still dey stayed on...hamare paas to poori capability hai...fir bhi y are we giving up???
How many iitians actually stay in India???I know things may not be going at their best presently...bt how will dey get better if we don'y anything..our forefathers cud hav easily said dat "why me only" thing..dey didn't...dey did so much for us...den y do we now hesitate to do sumthin fr others??? Why don't we realise da value of dat inexplicable joy abhinav bindra wd hav got when da national anthem was played on him winning da gold???Why don't we hold on,,,why don't we try???

Da heart did cry hearing about kashmir disturbance...but in dat same news segment...dere was also da news of abhinav bindra winning an olympic gold medal.......

why ,why why why ??
he he ... nice thought , but the truth is that many really dont care .. they do not associate themselves with the country .. one gold and its news headlines and people know his life story ... people read about it and update their GK.. why ? Pride ..? naah i would attribute it to adrenalin rush.
how many people are aware of what really happens/happened in kashmir ? since u mentioned it ...
very few .. how many try to find out ? even fewer ...
have a billion people ever spoken together on any issue ? for get a billion have 1% ie a 10 million ever spoken together on an issue ... ?
nobody values what they have for free... they do value what they worked for and hence want to reap the benefits
u r right even the birds .. u see we are not birds ... we are humans .. and the story and their genre of stories were also cooked up by us humans...
While i appreciate your concern .. i fear there is no concrete solution to it

Quite. As Siddharth put it, there is no solution to it. Such stories are concocted by us, but the morals will always seem to clash with something else; as in this case, 'the meek shal inherit' vs. 'survival of the fittest'...

Your questions do echo a lot of what others would wish to ask as well... It is just that at the heat of any moment, there will be a rush of blood and adrenalin. Team India got booted at the group stages (WC'07) and then went on to win the T20 Challenge. How different were the reactions... This is just an eg (Forget that cricket is considered a religion in this country...)

Epitome of Equality

First of all This is not to demean any religion.. I am a Hindu by birth, but yes I respect all religions .I offer my daily prayers , fast on holy days , but there was something that was disturbing me . God as per me was a Friend, someone who was by my side always , someone who was a dear friend , but this is not what everyone else thought , for others he was the Judge who gives his verdict always and punishes anyone and everyone . Walk into any temple and you would see , if you have money , you will be treated in a way as if you are the ONLY disciple of the God . I have had too many experiences where I was treated as a second class citizen in the temple . Why? Well I could not afford giving thousands as donation. This is not how it should be , God looks at each one of us with the same divinity .As I mentioned God for me is a friend, so tell me, do we chose friends based on their bank balances? Do we give our verdict on them ? then how can God do it? I know many of us would ...

Indian Real Estate in 2024: Resilient, sustainable, and ready for tomorrow

Indian real estate in 2024 proved its mettle, balancing global uncertainties with innovation, sustainability, and adaptability. From smart infrastructure to hybrid workspaces, the sector evolved alongside changing consumer expectations. Looking ahead to 2025, cautious optimism prevails, with tech-driven transformations, urban regeneration, and community-focused projects promising a brighter future for developers, investors, and homeowners alike. How did Indian Real Estate fare in 2024? If someone had told me a decade ago that I’d witness buildings go from brick-and-mortar dreams to sustainable, smart havens, I’d have laughed. But here we are in 2024, a year that saw India’s real estate sector withstand the weight of inflation, global economic jitters, and shifting lifestyles. From green-certified luxury homes to hybrid workspaces in buzzing metros, 2024 wasn’t just about building properties—it was about building resilience, sustainability, and a roadmap for 2025. Shall we take a closer...

When family hurts: A tale of love, loss, and liberation

In the shadow of the Jasmine tree: Breaking free from a toxic family In the decaying splendour of Eyrevale Manor, Elara battles toxic parents, rekindles forbidden love, and questions whether she can escape the chains of her upbringing. Under a canopy of jasmine, secrets are shared, hearts break, and truths unravel. Set in an enchanting town, this story examines love, loss, and the painful pursuit of self-discovery. What happens when home feels like a battleground? No one warns you how heavy a homecoming can feel when the word home means nothing to you. If there is one universal truth, it is this: not all homes are sanctuaries. For some, they are labyrinths of unspoken grudges, passive-aggressive remarks, and familial obligations wrapped in barbed wire. My story, dear reader, begins in the sweltering heat of Eyrevale—a coastal town so humid it could curdle your very thoughts. And for me, Eyrevale wasn’t just oppressive because of its climate. No, it was the family home that truly choke...
