Of Muthali, Pink Chaddis and How some children never grow up

I am bored, irritated and appalled enough to hear about a moron named Muthali, Muthalik or whoever he is, and now I have to read here about some underwear campaigns, listening to which I was shocked more at Karthik's judgment to post it then to bother about the pinky chaddis.

So, a kid named B, snatched C's chocolate and C says, 'Maza chakkata hun tujhe bachu', (I am going to teach you a lesson dude). This looks so awesome on kids, but on adults, *Sigh*.

So this chap forms some crazy sena of some sorts and now the public, (who never likes to see their own sins, the times they evaded taxes, the times they deserted their family and friends, seldom bothered about the poor on the streets, except discussing their plight in hi-fi coffee shops etc.,) has claimed moral high grounds too. They will teach the guy a lesson.

The moron wanted attention desperately and public is more then giving with their large hearts.
Along with attention, he is getting chaddis, free !!! free !!! free !!!

And what will he do with the chaddis? Perhaps sell them to hire a PR agent who will manage the glory these people are giving him.

It is not that am a miser who won't part with a chaddi. I can lend him a pink chaddi with white polka dots, to give a designer touche, but am not doing any thing of that sorts.

If I would give a Chaddi of any color including pink, I would give it to:

* The small girl or boy on the streets, whose rags have been recently torn apart by the monster who invaded their sexuality.
* The children who die every year in millions because of mosquito and insect bites, as they don't have enough clothing on them.
* All those kids, who never have worn a brand new clothing all their life.
<<<<<<<<
At least my attention to them wont go completely waste and even if media does not notice my gesture, I do not want to be a hero too.

So guys and gals. After you are done by taking that loser dude on the heights of chaddi's oops!!!
popularity, I mean, get down for some serious stuff for the moral development of earth.

Also start voting for the awards on Poll and also please suggest me nominations for the rest of the categories.

tushar .. it was not the idea that enthralled me but the fact that finally people were doing something even if silly to assert what they believe is right .. and their action is not hurting anyone ... its something .. better than nothing .. look at the intent that is being shown .. surprisingly look at what is connecting ppl ... this shows on how much of a shift has come in the events people give value to .. i am not going to say whether it is for good or bad ... but i am glad that there is some form of agitation taking place ...
secondly ... as far as tax etc. goes .. well TDS is followed by all corporates and corps. are the major participants so take that back yaar .. yes your point of giving a chaddi to a poor is good but it should not come as I would rather .. if it has to be done by u it has to be done irrespective of anything else ..

I agree with you that there is a need to pay attention to things like poverty or unemplyment. We can donate to those who need our help. But I am totally supporting this campaign. Not that I am another silly girl who loves going to the pub. I dont even to a pub for gods sake! Its just that for once, women (and some men too) have got up to express their anger and frustration in a peaceful (and yes funny..you might call it kidish as well) and organized manner. You point out that this campaigne is making promaod muthalik popular. Yes it is making him popular, but in a wrong way. In a way that spits on his face and says we oppose ur sick thoughts!
I feel this is a better way to express that we women exist and stand up for what we believe is right. What else could they have done? Go with 'morchas' (demostrations) yelling at the top of their voices? Or declare a 'band' or whatever you call it, like the other political lunatics and disturb the day to day life.
I believe we should donate to the poor people just like we are giving it away to that moron muthalik. Maybe you could be the one to start that camapign.
If you feel this campaign is wrong and you feel your idea is right, then do it. Start a campaign and you will receive the same responce i guess. Only because we, as youth of India care (even if its in the tiniest possible way!).

Chillax mate. As Richa put it, I find the campaign ludicrously hilarious. And quite a few that I know of are going ahead with *donations*

If you ask me, we need such "campaigns"... At least ideas like these. Muthalik et al shd know that we ain't pushovers.

@Gargi
Welcome here. We appreciate your time to stop by and voice out.

Peace.

@ Richa, Serious issues should not be made to look like a laughing stock. Look what they did with that Raj fellow in Mumbai.
@ SID
Now another post on TDS and Taxes is coming your way.
@ Gargi
I cannot recall the exact quote
but it says some thing like this:

"There is no such thing as bad publicity. All publicity is good publicity."

@ Karthik

Am sorry it seems my sense of humor dries up when it comes to certain issues :-)
Well for my campaigns. A good idea you gave, will surely consider it.
Welcome to the Blog :-)
Hope to see more of you here.

An epidemic of loneliness: Why are we lonely in a world so full?

In the town of Havenwood, an unusual epidemic takes over—not one of physical illness, but an outbreak of loneliness. When Lina, a fiery yet secretly tender-hearted skeptic of romance, meets Quinn, a free-spirited artist questioning the same ideas, they are forced to confront whether real connection lies beyond romantic love or if they are truly doomed to solitude. It was a crisp day in Havenwood, and the sky was brooding—dark clouds laced with impatient energy before a thunderstorm, as if even the heavens felt the town’s growing melancholy. It was not the kind of town you would expect to be cloaked in loneliness. Stone cottages lined the narrow, winding roads, and the trees had that sage-like stillness that you only see in stories and dreams. I hadn’t been here long when the problem struck me like a slap in the face: everyone was obsessed with finding The One, as if every single person was but half a person, wandering through life like a lost sock in search of its pair. How did a town ...

Epitome of Equality

First of all This is not to demean any religion.. I am a Hindu by birth, but yes I respect all religions .I offer my daily prayers , fast on holy days , but there was something that was disturbing me . God as per me was a Friend, someone who was by my side always , someone who was a dear friend , but this is not what everyone else thought , for others he was the Judge who gives his verdict always and punishes anyone and everyone . Walk into any temple and you would see , if you have money , you will be treated in a way as if you are the ONLY disciple of the God . I have had too many experiences where I was treated as a second class citizen in the temple . Why? Well I could not afford giving thousands as donation. This is not how it should be , God looks at each one of us with the same divinity .As I mentioned God for me is a friend, so tell me, do we chose friends based on their bank balances? Do we give our verdict on them ? then how can God do it? I know many of us would ...
